Last week on Facebook, I polled some amazing travel bloggers on what they thought the best US National Park was for family travelers, and the results surprised me! ⁠

I'll go first, the Guilin Li River National Park in China is probably my ALL TIME FAVE! I don't think I'll ever get over the gumdrop mountains and Cormorant fishing 😍 .⁠

Winter is not my favorite season because I struggle with the cold! ⁠
However, my family loves it so I am trying to adjust my thinking and visit some of Utah's National Parks while they are snowy and cooler. 😳 Getting personal today! What is something YOU WISH you would have known 5 years ago?⁠
⁠
As we start 2022, I have been reflecting on the last several years and there are some things I REALLY wish I would have known. Here are a few...⁠
⁠
1️⃣- I am in control of very little with the exception of my actions and reactions. Embrace that and lean in. It’ll be okay.⁠
⁠
2️⃣- Prioritize my family/spouse and make time for them! Get out and make memories! Shared experiences and strong positive memories will be my greatest asset when hard times come. ⁠
⁠
3️⃣- Look forward and not to the side. Comparing where others are or what others have is not helpful. Celebrate the success and experiences of others, support them and use that as an inspiration to move you forward. ⁠
⁠
4️⃣- Life WILL NOT turn out the way that I think it will and it'll be the most wonderful thing. ⭐⁠
⁠
One of the reasons I feel so strongly about carving out time, money, and energy to travel as a family and to experience new things together is because I have had a failed marriage and experienced divorce, and I have some really unwanted health challenges that prevent me from doing what I want to do and spending the time that I want with my loved ones at times.⁠
⁠
I don’t talk about this often on this page, but I know what absolute loss, self loathing, and loneliness feels like 💔. And for me, when hard times come, one of my greatest assets is leaning on the strong memories and bonds that I have built with the people I love! That’s why I care so much about family travel. That’s why I focus on date night, and getting away with my husband. That’s why I care about building experiences together anyway that we can. It’s because I know what it feels like when I have found myself wishing that I would have done more and I am determined to do my best to build a strong blended family even when it feels daunting! ♥️⁠

One of the things that made the lines a bit more doable for the kids in Disney World was the new Disney Genie+ feature and then being prepared with some good games and snacks. ⁠
.⁠
By far, Beckham's favorite thing was his @vtechtoys KidiZoom Smartwatch DX3. He loved taking pictures with it, playing the games, and setting reminders and trackers for himself! I loved that it is an educational watch and that it helped keep him busy when lines got a bit long. ⁠
